What we collect
Information you provide
Contact and identity information. Name, email address, phone number, state, company name, and your role (owner, advisor, buyer).
Business and opportunity information (seller side). Industry, business description, location, year established, employee count, ownership structure, seller-reported financial information (such as revenue, EBITDA, growth, and customer concentration), reasons for exploring a sale, timeline, and related details you submit.
Documents (seller side, optional at submission). Financial statements, tax returns, incorporation and ownership documents, and other materials you choose to upload. Please redact Social Security numbers and personal account numbers before uploading; we do not need them.
Buyer profile information (buyer side). Organization, role, acquisition criteria, target sizes and geographies, funding approach, and related details.
Communications. Emails, form responses, call notes, and scheduling information when you correspond with us.
Information collected automatically
When you use our website, we and our service providers collect device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with our forms, using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described in Section 4.
Information from other sources
As part of reviewing marketplace participants, we may consult public records and other publicly available sources, such as business registration records, to confirm that a business exists and operates as described and that participants are who they say they are. We may also receive information from our advertising and analytics partners about how you reached our site.
How we use information
- To operate the marketplace: reviewing submissions, building anonymized opportunity profiles, matching opportunities to buyer criteria, and making introductions.
- To communicate with you: responding to inquiries, scheduling calls, sending service updates, and, with the required consents, marketing communications.
- To review participants: confirming identity, authority, and business legitimacy.
- To improve the Services: understanding how the site and forms are used, diagnosing problems, and measuring our marketing.
- To advertise: building audiences and measuring ad performance as described in Section 4.
- To comply with law and protect the marketplace: enforcing our Terms, preventing fraud and misuse, and meeting legal obligations.
How we share information
With the other side of an introduction, only on approval
- Before an introduction, buyers see an anonymized profile of an opportunity that does not include the company name, exact location, or the submitter's identity or contact details.
- Identity and contact information are shared only when the seller side approves an introduction to a specific buyer, and documents are shared only as authorized by the seller side.
- Buyer identity and relevant profile context are shared with the seller side as part of an introduction request.
With service providers who process information on our behalf, such as CRM and marketing platforms, website hosting, form and scheduling tools, email delivery, document storage, analytics, and payment processing. Service providers may use the information only to provide services to us.
With advertising partners as described in Section 4.
For legal reasons: to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Vareth Intelligence, our users, or others.
In a business transfer: if Vareth Intelligence is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy's commitments.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not give or sell contact lists to third parties for their own marketing. Sharing identifiers with advertising partners for ad measurement and targeting may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under some state privacy laws. Section 9 explains how to opt out.
Cookies, pixels, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: making the site work, understanding how it's used, and advertising. Advertising and analytics technologies we use include:
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API: measures our Meta ads and builds ad audiences from site interactions such as pages viewed and forms submitted; some events are sent server-side. Manage Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Google advertising and analytics tags: used for ad measurement, remarketing, and site analytics. Manage at adssettings.google.com; analytics opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: used for ad measurement and audiences for our LinkedIn campaigns. Manage at linkedin.com/psettings/advertising.

optout.aboutads.info (DAA) and optout.networkadvertising.org (NAI).
Global Privacy Control
Where required by applicable law, we treat a recognized GPC browser signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
Browser controls
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may not function if you do.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, and then delete or de-identify it. In general: inquiry records that don't become active opportunities are removed after a period of inactivity; documents associated with withdrawn or declined opportunities are deleted promptly after withdrawal or decline, except where we need to keep records for legal or dispute-resolution reasons; records of consent and billing are kept as long as the law requires. You may request earlier deletion at any time. See Section 9.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption of information in transit and restrictions on who can access opportunity documents. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Your communications choices
- Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, honored within 10 business days. Transactional emails about an active opportunity or account are not marketing and continue while you participate.
- Calls and texts. You can revoke call/text consent at any time. Reply STOP to any text, tell us on any call, or email contact@varethintelligence.com.
Children
The Services are for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact contact@varethintelligence.com and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Regardless of where you live, you may request:
- Access: a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: fixing inaccurate information
- Deletion: removal of your personal information, subject to legal retention needs
- Portability: a usable copy of information you provided
- Opt-out of targeted advertising: we will stop sending your identifiers to advertising partners
Email contact@varethintelligence.com, or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the site footer for the advertising opt-out. We will verify your identity (usually by confirming control of the email on file) and respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may also contact their state Attorney General. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes here with an updated effective date and, for material changes, provide notice on the site or by email. The current version always governs.
