Fees & How Vareth Is Paid
No listing fee, no submission fee, and no Vareth success fee when you sell. The marketplace is funded by the acquirers who use it.
There is no fee to submit an opportunity, no fee to have it reviewed, no fee to appear in front of matched buyers, and no fee payable to Vareth if you sell to a buyer we introduced.
This is not an introductory offer or a launch promotion. It is how the model works: buyers pay for curated access because relevant deal flow is the scarce thing in this market, and that funds the review and matching that sellers benefit from.
It does not mean selling your business costs nothing. If you engage an M&A advisor, a lawyer, an accountant or a tax adviser (and most sellers should engage at least some of those), you pay them under your own arrangements. Vareth does not affect those fees and does not receive any part of them.
We will not tell you that you will keep 100% of your sale proceeds, because that depends on decisions we do not make.
Vareth takes no part of your engagement fee and charges your client nothing for marketplace access. We sit outside your fee arrangement entirely. Bringing a mandate to Vareth does not create any payment obligation for you or your client.
Buyers pay for two things: curated access to reviewed opportunities matched against their mandate, and completed introductions.
We work with buyer types differently, because they buy differently. A search fund making one acquisition, an independent sponsor assembling capital deal by deal, and a private equity firm with a continuous programme have different needs and different volumes.
Rather than publish a fixed menu that fits none of them well, we discuss your mandate, your expected volume and how you prefer to work, and propose terms.

Detailed anonymous briefs beyond the free allocation · Identity disclosure · Direct introductions
A buyer fee is earned when we complete the contracted unit of value, normally an approved introduction, rather than when someone clicks on something.
Reserved at request, consumed only on a completed introduction. Seller declines, or we decline the request as a poor fit, and the credit returns.
Where we transmitted incorrect information or made a material mistake, you get a refund or full credit. We do not litigate that with customers.
Buyers pay for access and introductions. They do not pay for a guaranteed diligence result, and we do not refund one.
