Confidentiality & Disclosure

Nobody sees your name until you say so

Vareth is not a listing site. Your business is never published, never searchable and never browsable. Here is precisely what is shared, with whom, and when.

01

Control where it matters, not everywhere

There is a version of confidentiality that protects nothing and exhausts everyone: an owner is asked to approve every page view and every routine step, and the process stalls under its own weight while buyers lose interest.

We have designed for a different balance. Qualified buyers can assess anonymous fit quickly, without troubling you. Your approval is reserved for the moment that actually carries consequence: the release of your identity and direct contact.

The upstream filtering is our job. By the time a request reaches you, it has already passed buyer review, criteria matching, our own fit assessment and a confidentiality gate. You should be seeing a manageable number of relevant requests, not a queue.

02

What is visible at each stage

How we keep a profile genuinely anonymous

Anonymity fails through detail, not names. A profile that says "the third-largest HVAC contractor in a named metropolitan area, founded by two brothers in 1998" has identified the company to anyone in the sector, whether or not the name appears.

So we withhold or generalize: company and trading names, website and social presence, precise location, named customers and suppliers, distinguishing contract details, identifiable revenue figures, key personnel, and any combination of facts that would narrow the field to one business.

If you know of something specific about your business that would give it away, tell us at submission and we will handle it.

04

What we never do

01

Publish your company name, or make your opportunity publicly searchable

02

Release your identity or contact details to any buyer before you approve an introduction

03

Distribute your opportunity to buyers whose criteria do not fit it

04

Share your documents with anyone who has not accepted the applicable confidentiality terms

05

Sell, rent or license your information to third parties for marketing

05

What we require of buyers

Before receiving identifying information or protected materials, buyers accept the applicable confidentiality terms. We maintain records of what was disclosed, to whom, and when.

Where a confidentiality obligation is breached, we suspend or remove the participant, preserve the record, and notify affected parties as appropriate. Any legal remedy remains between the parties. But a participant who behaves that way does not remain on this marketplace.

Vareth is not a party to the confidentiality agreement between you and a buyer, and cannot enforce it on your behalf. For material disclosures, take your own legal advice on the terms you require.

06

What we do with your information

We use what you submit to review the opportunity, build the anonymous profile, match it to buyers and make introductions. We keep records of introductions and disclosures because we are obliged to and because attribution matters.

We do not sell your data. Full detail on collection, use, retention and your rights is in our Privacy Policy.
